Hillcrest House is a former 19th Century coaching inn on the road into Dovedale. It was originally called the Dovedale Hotel and provided lodging, refreshments and a change of horses to coaches on their way. It is now run as a private family guest house by local couple, Dan and Margaret Sutton who continues the traditions of yesteryear, the Garden is there for everyone to enjoy, as is our new summerhouse.

We have a reception area, residents lounge and dining room. All are tastefully furnished, in keeping with the character of this friendly and warm atmosphere home, from our lounge and bedrooms are views of the surrounding countryside.

With the most stunning views of the surrounding countryside, what better place to explore from. You can leave your car and set off on foot in any direction, on some of the most popular footpaths in the Peak District.

Our large Super King room is very spacious with a very large window overlooking Thorpe Cloud, our Four Poster rooms are perfect for a romantic get away with a touch of luxury and our other rooms consist of two Doubles, a Twin and a Single room. We also have wireless connections for your laptop, so if needed you can keep up with friends.
